Kiki Jones Lopez
Rebellion. Rebellion it is what I feel when I’m creating. My work is a combination of my past and a look to the future that I express visually. My painting are about life and breaking free. There is structure in my creative process and in the paintings and yet they are still abstract to celebrate life’s perfect imperfections. I like to use acrylic, graphite, oil pastels, charcoal, watercolors and oil paints.
I have an Associates of Arts degree in Fine Arts from the Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) Albuquerque.
My Process
Influence and the Planet
My work is heavily influenced by color and texture. I love to share my visions with people and make their world more colorful. I am particularly drawn to bright colors and texture, which are often reflected in my pieces.
I also want to do my part to save the planet. Some of my pieces are framed with upcycled frames. Some are in new frames.
How my paintings are made!
All of my paintings are on wrapped canvas and mixed media. I use graphite, acrylic paints, colored pencils, inks, markers, oil paints, oil pastels and some collage. I use it all in all my paintings.
So my descriptions will be the size of the piece and if it's framed or not.
